What is brake fluid?

Brake fluid is a hydraulic fluid used to transfer force under pressure from the brake pedal where it is created through hydraulic lines to the brake calliper.

Why is it important to replace it?

Your safety depends on reliable braking distances. Therefore it is vital for your brakes to be working as efficiently as possible.

What if I don’t replace the brake fluid?

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs moisture over time, reducing the temperature at which the fluid boils. This in turn could result in increased braking distances, reduced braking efficiency and potentially brake failure.
